On June 5, the II Gala AiBot Experience took place at the Auditorium of the Auditorium of the Paraninfo of the University of Granada, where it was very clear that girls are also interested in science and technology.
The II AiBot Experience Gala, held on June 5, could be described through the passionate gaze of each of the girls who presented their sustainable technology projects. This event not only showcased the innovative creations of these young women, but also sent a clear and poignant message: girls are in love with technology.
The event gathered 400 students between 8-12 years old where they presented their Robotics and Artificial Intelligence projects. The projects were also oriented towards sustainability and the environment.
Automatic garbage containers, self-sufficient stadiums, automated dryers, smart forests or climate shelters in cities are some of the projects presented at AiBot Experience. The point of union between all these works is to know in depth how robotics and artificial intelligence can be key to achieve a more sustainable world.
Broad participation
Eleven teams from schools in different towns in the province of Granada have participated in this project for six months. The initiative has also been supported by the Chamber of Commerce of Granada, the AI Granada Research & Innovation Foundation, the University of Granada (UGR) and the Technological Circle of Granada.
In addition, the event has counted with significant sponsorships, with special mention to the EDTECH Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to democratizing access to education, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to benefit from the most advanced educational technologies.
Specifically, it has a strong commitment to promoting gender equality, focusing on the professional development of girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields. Their support has been manifested through various initiatives designed to inspire and empower young women to pursue careers in these areas.
The egalitarian passion for technology
The AiBot Experience was born with a clear objective, which is to promote careers related to science and technology (STEM) at an early age, especially among girls.
In this year’s edition, it has become more than evident that the passion for science and technology knows no age or, of course, gender. Throughout the presentation of the projects, the female presence is palpable in all of them and even more so the enthusiasm of the girls who proudly show their work and their passion for learning much more about this area.
Grenada and its idyll with technology
Every city has its technology, Grenada has its own and that of all the others.
This adaptation to the famous phrase of Antonio Machado would reflect very well the situation of the Nasrid city today. The AiBot Experience is just one more event in the city’s clear commitment to technology.
In this regard, as is the case with this event, more and more organizations are betting on the technology sector, such as EDUCA EDTECH Group and the institutions that join forces to consolidate the province as a reference area in this sector.
