To mark the International Volunteer Week, the EDUCA EDTECH Foundation and the Madre Coraje Association They have organised a clothing donation campaign to help those most in need, through which a total of 180 kg of clothes.
From the day 15 April to 3 May This initiative has been carried out and the funds raised will be used to support social projects, donated to organisations in need, or given to companies specialising in the recovery of second-hand clothing for recycling or reuse. These items will be distributed amongst those most in need.
Volunteering Week: the EDUCA EDTECH Foundation and Madre Coraje join forces
To mark International Volunteer Week, EDUCA EDTECH Group has launched a clothing donation campaign, thanks to which a total of 180 kilos of clothes, which will be allocated to humanitarian aid projects in Peru, Mozambique and Spain. It has followed this approach to ensure that no resources are wasted.
Once the clothes are in the charity’s care, they go through a recycling process:
- If the clothes have a label, they are sent to the communities with which the charity works, to be distributed amongst those most in need.
- If the clothes do not have a price tag, they are sold at their permanent charity markets for a nominal price. The funds raised will go towards supporting social projects.
- If it is not possible to sell the clothing, it will be donated to organisations in Spain that need it, or handed over to companies specialising in the recovery of second-hand clothing for recycling or reuse.
An opportunity to come together as a team and make a positive impact on society.
Other initiatives by EDUCA EDTECH Group and Madre Coraje
This is not the first initiative on which the two organisations have worked closely together; earlier this year, they ran a toy donation campaign which was very well received and saw a high level of participation from EDUCA EDTECH Group staff, resulting in to collect more than 160 toys.
These were distributed to children in the most deprived areas of Peru, Mozambique and Grenada, helping to ensure their right to be children and to foster the excitement and joy of receiving new toys.
