2×01 | Journey to Hope, with Open Arms

Migration in the Mediterranean

The Central Mediterranean Sea area has claimed the lives of a multitude of people seeking a better life, opportunities and prosperity beyond its borders.
Considered the largest cemetery in the world, the Mediterranean Sea is becoming an underwater cemetery where boats try to stay afloat also in another even more dangerous sea of racism and misunderstanding.

It is there, in this social sea, where education is fundamental and where the work of rescue organizations such as Open Arms can also, out of the water, prevent the drift of those seeking a better life.

Since it was founded in 2015, Open Arms has rescued nearly 70,000 people, so today we have the great pleasure of inviting Ángeles Schjaer, coordinator of the Education Department of Open Arms to Generación EDTECH. We will embark on the journey of a person who makes this journey and we will learn about her approach on how education can be the engine of social change.
Now, yes, we are starting a new season of Generation EdTech.
