{"id":4761,"date":"2026-03-25T08:31:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-25T07:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/educaedtech.foundation\/tickets\/welcoming-a-new-member-to-the-academic-innovation-advisory-committee\/"},"modified":"2026-03-25T08:31:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T07:31:13","slug":"welcoming-a-new-member-to-the-academic-innovation-advisory-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/educaedtech.foundation\/en\/tickets\/welcoming-a-new-member-to-the-academic-innovation-advisory-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcoming a new member to the Academic Innovation Advisory Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Academic Innovation Advisory Committee of the EDUCA EDTECH Foundation <strong>recently met again in a working session<\/strong> which, this time, had a novelty: <strong>the incorporation of Enrique Cort\u00e9s de Abajo as a new member of the Committee <\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A space to look further<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Committee is one of the strategic pillars of the Foundation. A group of people with decades of criteria, mistakes and successes, from different sectors, who do not meet to validate but to ask better questions.   <\/p>\n\n<p>A group formed by Isidoro Gonz\u00e1lez Gallego, Florencio Vicente Castro, Miguel A. Mart\u00ed Escolano, Aitor Curiel, Viridiana L\u00f3pez, Rafael Garc\u00eda-Parrado and David Santos, profiles that come from very different places and that, precisely for that reason, make us better. Meeting after meeting, <strong>their criteria and experience are what push the Foundation to make decisions with more sense and purpose.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Welcome, Enrique<\/h2>\n\n<p>In this last meeting, <strong>the Committee was enlarged with a new and much needed perspective: Enrique Cort\u00e9s de Abajo<\/strong>, Co-founder of SKR, School of Government and Public Transformation, and Senior Strategic Advisor of Lottus Education Group.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Enrique has decades of experience in governance, institutional transformation and education. Someone who knows firsthand what it means to build from scratch, make tough decisions and think long-term.   <\/p>\n\n<p>His arrival is not just an addition to the Committee. It is a sign of where the EDUCA EDTECH Foundation wants to continue growing: surrounding itself with diverse experience, with different views, with people who do not come to give easy answers but to help build the right questions.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we are building<\/h2>\n\n<p>During the meeting, the Committee <strong>made progress in new lines of research oriented towards the future of education and its social impact, as well as in the development of upcoming strategic content, <\/strong>including the Whitepaper 2026. A work that seeks not only to analyze what is happening, but also to anticipate where learning should evolve in the coming years. <\/p>\n\n<p>Among the reflections that marked the day, Aitor Curiel put on the table an issue that the Foundation cannot ignore: the role of ethics in the advancement of artificial intelligence applied to education. In his speech, he stressed that <strong>not all AI tools are valid for any context or for any user<\/strong>, and that responsibility in their use must be a central part of any educational proposal. A call for the EDUCA EDTECH Foundation to continue its active role in the promotion of <strong>responsible<\/strong>, ethical and people-oriented <strong>AI<\/strong>.    <\/p>\n\n<p>Meetings like this are what shape the direction of the Foundation. Because real impact is not improvised.
