That is why we are marking Earth Day by sharing a milestone that reflects our commitment to a model of growth that is in line with caring for the planet: <strong>We have reduced our Scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint by more than half over the past year. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This figure is not just a number. It is the result of a conscious, planned and ongoing transformation. It is proof that we can move towards a fairer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly economic model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Corporate sustainability: how we\u2019re achieving it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reducing emissions is not an isolated objective, but part of a cross-cutting strategy that we have begun to implement at all levels of the group. This reduction in emissions is the result of a number of measures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Optimising mobility<\/strong>, minimising unnecessary travel and improving operational efficiency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Increase in energy self-consumption<\/strong>, which already accounts for 40% of our total electricity consumption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exclusive use of renewable energy<\/strong>, with certified guarantees of origin for the 100% in our supply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reduction in electricity consumption by 25%<\/strong> compared with the previous year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reduction in water consumption per employee.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, we have begun to look into an initiative to <strong>future emissions offsetting<\/strong> by sponsoring<strong> trees in Granada\u2019s Green Belt<\/strong>. An initiative with a direct impact that reinforces our long-term vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The future of corporate sustainability at EDUCA EDTECH Group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This development marks a turning point. It is not the end of the road, but the starting point for what lies ahead. Over the course of this year, we will draw up and implement a <strong>an even more ambitious emissions reduction plan<\/strong>, with the aim of becoming an organisation <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/es\/climatechange\/net-zero-coalition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Net Zero<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our commitment is not a temporary one. It is about building a corporate culture where the <a href=\"https:\/\/educaedtech.foundation\/en\/el-latido-verde-de-ikea\/\">sustainability <\/a>is incorporated into all strategic and operational decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Caring for the Earth means caring for our purpose<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because looking after the planet also means looking after our values, our people and future generations.
