In total, this figure represents an increase of more than 12,000 people compared with 2023, a rise of 66.2% on the previous period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen you leave your family and friends behind and decide to risk your life in such a dangerous way, you obviously have to be very desperate to do that. And it\u2019s not just the desperation of the person who emigrates, but also the desperation of the family left behind, waiting to hear from that person.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are the words of the coordinator of the <strong>Open Arms Department of Education<\/strong>, <strong>\u00c1ngeles Schjaer<\/strong>, the first guest on this second series of Generaci\u00f3n Edtech.
