In our latest interview, we spoke to <strong>Juan Jes\u00fas Pleguezuelos<\/strong>, better known as <em>The restless teacher<\/em>, on the present (and future) of digital education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is the restless teacher?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A historian, teacher, content creator and a born communicator. With thousands of followers on TikTok, his podcast and YouTube, Juan Jes\u00fas has achieved something that seems impossible: getting young people to listen to talks about history\u2026 and want more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his own words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI come up with a thousand ideas every day. And I don\u2019t do any more because I don\u2019t have the time.\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Education in the age of TikTok<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the interview, we addressed a key question: can a TikTok video compete with a traditional lesson?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His reply was clear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA TikTok isn\u2019t a substitute for a lesson, but it can be the perfect complement. The challenge is to hold people\u2019s attention in this age of distraction.\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Juan Jes\u00fas reflects on how the way we learn has changed, how algorithms affect teaching, and what it means to be a teacher when the classroom is on a screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The real impact of digital content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As well as talking about productivity and creativity, he told us how he coped with the drop in view counts after years of success. But he also explained how he reconnected with his audience through perseverance, authenticity and analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m constantly looking for ways to make the most of my time\u2026 without compromising my health.\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teaching is not the same as educating<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most powerful messages from the \u2018restless teacher\u2019 is that simply teaching facts is not enough. We need to connect with students, inspire them and transform them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhoever manages to reach their student without being caught out by the algorithm\u2026 that\u2019s the key.\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interview with <em>The restless teacher<\/em> It is a masterclass in how to teach with passion, creativity and commitment in the 21st century.
